Sport and recreation Kavečany resort is located 6 km from the centre of Kosice, at an altitude of 420-600 meters above sea level. The ski season lasts from mid-December until the end of March. The resort offers 5 ski trails with a length of 2.95 kilometres. For skiers there are 9 lifts with a capacity of 7432 persons per hour. The slopes are artificially snowed and daily maintained. Also, skiers can use the ski service and rental, ski and snowboard school. Cross country ski trails include 4 lapses with a length of 14 km altogether.
