Andrássy Palace
The Andrássy Palace in Košice is an elegant historic building from the late 19th century, combining elements of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque. Originally serving as a representative residence of the prominent Andrássy family, it remains one of the architectural gems of the city center. Its rich decoration and noble atmosphere recall the golden age of Košice.
Rodošto House
The Rodošto House is a unique historical monument in the center of Košice, commemorating the exile of the famous Transylvanian prince Francis II Rákóczi. The building is a faithful replica of his house in exile in the Turkish city of Tekirdağ (formerly Rodošto) and is part of the East Slovak Museum complex. Visitors can explore Rákóczi’s life and legacy, view period exhibitions, and gain a deeper understanding of the anti-Habsburg uprisings. It is a remarkable place connecting Slovak, Hungarian, and Turkish history and culture.
Máraiho dom
The Sándor Márai Memorial Exhibition was opened January 22, 2019. The Sándor Márai Memorial Room was opened on the ground floor of the house in May 1998 and has since been the scene of several exhibitions featuring the life and work of the city’s famous native son. The humble memorial room has now been expanded to accommodate a unique exhibition whose ambition is to pay homage to Sándor Márai’s memory in the city that played a central part in his life.
