Renovated Guest house Pod Barancom is located in Liptov region in the Western Tatras, at the entrance to Žiarska valley at 1,000 m above sea level. It stands under the slopes of the hill Baranec in beautiful mountain area, which is frequently visited by tourists from many countries in every season. Žiarska Valley is near to Liptovsky Mikulas and Liptovska Mara is only 10 km away.

The pension has eight standard furnished double rooms with one extra bed and two apartments for 3 persons. Guests can play various games such as badminton and petanque for free. There is a table tennis and billiards in the common room. Children can play volleyball on the court and roasting opportunity is in an open fire in garden. The pension has a restaurant with 46 seats and next to it there is a conference room. Both spaces can be used for social gatherings or business meetings.

A 350 m long ski lift with modest slopes is next to pension. Surroundings offer skiing opportunities in many ski resorts such as Jasna Ski Centre. You can also visit the thermal baths as Gino Paradise in Besenova as well as Tatralandia in Liptovsky Mikulas.

Žiarska valley is ideal for hiking for even those who want to get the ridges of Rohace in Western Tatras.
