Upper Hron River (Horehronie), tourist attractions

A serpentine path leads from the state road in direction Banská Bystrica - Turčianske Teplice to the Harmanecká Cave. The entrance part called Izbica was known to local woodcutters and workers from long ago, however the cave was discovered only in 1932. White soft flowstone dominates the cave and it is one of the most important localities of bat occurrence in Slovakia. The HRONEC - MAJER ski lift is located near the village of Hronec in the Banská Bystrica region, 5 km from the town of Brezno. The artificially snowed slope with a length of 600m and an elevation gain of 80m is artificially snowed during the winter season and also offers the possibility of night skiing. Operating hours: 9.00 - 16.00 Evening skiing (Friday, Saturday): 18.00 - 21.00

The town castle was once formed by several ancient buildings in the central Slovakian metropolis Banská Bystrica. Its task was to protect the income proceedings of copper and silver mining for the royal treasury. The town castle was built gradually. The parish church was built as the first structure in the 13th century and fortifications were added to it in the 15th century. Earth ramparts and palisades were later replaced by tall stone walls fortified by bastions and a water dike. In the 16th century, the Turkish threat called for further fortifications. Ski lift Hronec - Hlobišov is located near the village Hronec nearby cities Brezno and Podbrezová. The total length of the slope, located in the mountains Veporské is 2.4km and its elevation is about 200 meters.

TARZANIA TÁLE is located in Tále, in the area of minigolf course. It is built of 23 obstacles at a height of approximately 5 to 7 m above the ground. It includes a route for the smallest climbers, so it is ideal place for families with children. The blue (shorter and lighter) route is 180 m long. The red (longer) route is 292 m long. The children's trail is 90 m long. When overcoming obstacles, each individual is secured with climbing equipment. Before entering the park, TARZANIA is given a briefing and training in the use of belay equipment.
