Camp Oravice - Bungalovy Jana, Gaja, Joja a Koja

Camp ORAVICE * right in the heart of Orava is the northernmost camp in Slovakia and is one of the few that provides its services all year round. This is made possible by sports and relaxation activities provided by the Orava region and the nearby Meander Thermal & Ski Resort in Oravice = ski park with more than 12 km of slopes + swimming in the thermal park with geothermal water.
For fans of camping there is a large grassy area, for lovers of caravanning and car tourism there is a paved area allowing comfortable parking and staying at their caravan. The grassy area is maintained in the summer months and the grass is mowed regularly.

The camp provides accommodation for less demanding tourists in bungalows, for more demanding modern studio accommodation.

The basis of the car camp consists of 4 wooden bungalows Jana, Gaja, Joja and Koja, which were put into operation in the late 90's and the quality of accommodation at the standard level corresponds to this. The bungalows are gradually being renovated, so they have different furnishings and equipment.

Each bungalow has two separate entrances, each entrance is equipped with one or two showers with toilets and has 2 to 3 rooms for accommodation. The refurbished bungalows have an equipped kitchenette, running water, stove, fridge and electric kettle. The original bungalows are only equipped with a refrigerator and an electric kettle.

The bungalows have double, triple, quadruple and five-bed rooms. You can choose from several options, you can order one room or bed and share the entrance of the bungalow with other accommodated visitors. If there are more of you, you can be accommodated together in one entrance (2-3 rooms), or you can live in the whole bungalow with both entrances.

The camp has new, modern shared bathrooms, toilets, showers with hot water, shared kitchen with sink, washing machine and fireplace. During the summer months, there is a small buffet with a covered terrace in the area, where you can enjoy a well-chilled beer on hot summer days. Children can hike on the climbing frames or on the swing.

Camp Oravice is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Western Tatras in the vicinity of Roháče, Skorušinské vrchy and Oravská Magura. In the summer season, they offer a wide range of easy and alpine hiking and biking. Lovers of alpine tourism will find here various possibilities for moderately demanding and challenging alpine hikes in picturesque corners of the valleys, e.g. Tichá, Juráňova, Bobrovecká, Suchá, Mihulčia dolina with many gorges and torrents.

In winter, you will appreciate the winter cross-country trails, ski lifts and chair lift directly in Oravice and in 24 km distant Roháče - Spálená, where continuous snow cover is also provided by artificial snow.
