SNOWLAND SKI RESORT VALČIANSKA DOLINA

SNOWLAND ski resort is located at the foot of the Lúčanská part of the Malá Fatra Mountains in the Valčianska dolina valley. It is 12.5 km from the town of Martin. The SNOWLAND area focuses on family skiing with a high level of complementary services. The resort with modern architecture was built as a suburban centre with simple access for motor vehicles. Free parking places are prepared for 500 cars and 10 buses.

Favourably orientated north-east slope provides good skiing and snowboarding conditions from December to March. Regulated and artificially snowed ski slopes lie 510 – 830 metres above sea level. There are 6 ski runs with total length of 4,700 m – levels from difficult through tourist to gentle. The Snowland resort is equipped with artificial light giving visitors an opportunity to enjoy night skiing and snowboarding. Fans of cross-country skiing can use tracks near the ski centre with total length of 12 km.

SNOWLAND offers its visitors new modern 4-seat chair lift 1,320 m long and with transport capacity of 2,000 people per hour and 5 ski lifts with total capacity of 5,200 people per hour. For the youngest skiers and beginners there is a mini ski lift and ski or snowboard school. Ice skating ring is very popular with skaters.
