Ski resort Jasenská dolina

Jasenská Valley belonging to the most famous Great Fatras valleys is a year-round recreational resort. It is situated under the northern slopes of the hill Lysec (1381 m), 12 km southeast of Martin. It is in altitude 540 metres above sea level. It comes with 2 ski resorts Kašová and Lehota.

Kašová resort is located in the lower part of Jasenská Valley. It is easily accessible on asphalt road from the village of Bela-Dulice (2.5 km away), which is maintained year round. The access from the village Turčianske Jaseno is more difficult. Large parking lot for cars and buses is in the immediate vicinity of the lifts. Northern slopes are groomed and suitable for less demanding as well as more advanced skiers.

A big advantage of the resort is that it has built a snowmaking system. The resort comprises various types of ski lifts (3 tows to 200 m, 3 tows over 200 m), which together (without lift) have a capacity of 3000 persons per hour. Lift transport capacity is 2400 persons per hour. 4-seat chair lift has contributed significantly to the satisfaction of skiers by reducing waiting time. The whole ski area is illuminated.

Jasenská Valley Resort features also excellent conditions for skiing and hiking. There are 3 groomed country skiing track in total length of 7 km, marked tracks have a length of 3 km. The starting point is the centre Kasova. The ski season lasts according to climatic conditions from mid-December to late March - possibly mid April. Public transport also drives to the resort.

Lehota Resort is located in the middle part of the Jasenská valley (1 km east of the resort Kasova). Ski slopes are suitable for experienced skiers. The slopes are groomed, but depending on snow conditions). Tow Tatrapoma is 700 m long with an elevation of 170 m. Its transport capacity is 700 persons per hour. Next to the ski lift there is a parking lot.
