SNOW PARADISE Veľká Rača

The ski resort of SNOW PARADISE Veľká Rača is situated in the regions of Javorníky Mountains / Kysuce, Orava / Western Tatras. The base altitude of the resort is 630 m and the highest point reaches up to 1050 m, for a total vertical rise of 420 m. Veľká Rača's ski season runs from November to April. Total length of the downhill runs is 14,0 km out of which 14,0 km could be artificially snowed. The longest downhill run is 3 km.

More than 14 km of ski trails are available at the ski resort. Almost all ski slopes are snow-covered and regularly groomed. Number of ski runs: 15, of which 7 are blue (easy), 7 red (medium), 1 black (heavy). Cross-country skiers will also find their way, there are cross-country skiing trails - 1 km of health trail, 3 km and 5 km. Starting on these routes is from the top station of the chairlift in Dedovka.

At Veľká Rača there are 3 cableways and 3 chair-lifts, with total capacity of 9700 people per hour. The variety of different downhill runs in the ski resort makes it a suitable place for beginners as well as for advanced skiers. Parents with children have opportunities to use ski-school for children as well as ski-lift for children, which are situated within the ski resort. The ski resort also offers night skiing with approximately 1400 meters of illuminated slopes.

Veľká Rača offers 600 m of maintained snowboard downhill runs for fans of snowboarding. The snowboard park offers the following facilities: U ramp / halfpipe, BorderCross, FunparkBox. Veľká Rača also has 10 km of maintained cross-country skiing tracks.
