Park MINIATURES

Miniature Park is located in the village of Podolie, in the district of Nové Mesto nad Váhom, approximately 15 minutes by car from the spa town of Piešťany. This open-air exhibition offers more than 80 models of castles, chateaux, churches, cottages and lookouts, and the birthplaces of important personalities (data from 2023).

The goal of the creators of the Park of Miniatures is to save at least 4 to 5 objects of cultural heritage per year, made in the form of their heyday. The territory of present-day Slovakia has always been rich in castles, chateaux, churches, cultural and historical monuments. Many of them have either disappeared or are in very bad condition, and only a few stones in the forest remind us of them.

Among the models you will find Branč Castle, Vršatec Castle, Šarišský Castle, Tematín Castle, Holičský Castle, Dražovce Church, Lančár Church, Šivetice Castle, but also models of objects such as Krupinská vartovka, Krutum Observatory or Holubyho chatu.

All models are built as scientific reconstructions. Before making each of the models, drawing documentation was processed, individual components were elaborated, and then the model was installed in the field. Models of objects are made on a scale of 1:50, some, especially churches, cottages and lookouts are on a scale of 1:25, respectively. 1:30.

The Park Miniatur area began to be created as an idea of Juraj Hlatký in 2001. The entire unique product is being built as a private investment and the goal is to operate a complete educational and entertainment area (leisure) for all age categories. The complex has a unique location, right in the heart of the region of three castles in Slovakia - Čachtice, Beckov and Tematín.

• April, May, June, September, October - daily except Monday, Tuesday - Sunday, 9:00 - 17:00.
• July, August - daily except Monday, Tuesday - Sunday, 9:00 - 18:00.
