SENTINEL Experience Center - Mining Museum in Rožňava

The SENTINEL Adventure Center was created by the reconstruction of the Mining Museum in Rožňava in 2015-2017. Sentinel includes the following objects: Gemer Mining and Metallurgy Exposition, Steam Time at the Mining Museum, Mining Workplaces, Nature Exposition of the Slovak Karst and Adjacent Areas, and a courtyard where mining mechanisms and mobile mining railways are located.

The modern and partly interactive Gemer Mining and Metallurgical Exhibition maps the history of Gemer mining and metallurgy from prehistoric times to the present. In the exposition Mining workplaces can be seen workings underground and in the area of experiential centers are unique - the third oldest steam roller in the world and one steam lorry Skoda Sentinel Slovakia. The exposition of the nature of the Slovak Karst and the surrounding areas in turn presents the natural features and beauty of this area.
