Cachtice Castle
The Čachtice castle hill has been settled already in the prehistoric age. It is proved by findings of various objects that were excavated directly on the courtyards of the castle or nearby the walls. The castle perks on the dolomite hill above the village of Višňové. The first written reference about the castle has been preserved from 1276, when it belonged among the royal frontier fortresses. BECKOV CASTLE
The Beckov castle was built in the 12th century as a part of border fortification of Hungarian Empire. The castle flourished in the 14 - 15th century, later became shabby. The historical and archaeological research was carried out in the 70s of the 20th century. After the reconstruction in 1996 the ruins of the castle were strengthened and open for the public.
