BECKOV CASTLE
The Beckov castle was built in the 12th century as a part of border fortification of Hungarian Empire. The castle flourished in the 14 - 15th century, later became shabby. The historical and archaeological research was carried out in the 70s of the 20th century. After the reconstruction in 1996 the ruins of the castle were strengthened and open for the public. Open: May-October, Tuesday-Sunday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

TEMATÍN CASTLE
Tematín Castle is a castle ruin in western Slovakia. The castle was originally built in the second half of the 13th century. It was fundamentally reconstructed by the Thurzo family, owners of the castle from 1524. The last owner was Miklós Bercsényi, general of the anti-Habsburg insurrection army. The castle was turned into ruins after it was sieged in 1710 as a part of the suppression of the anti-Habsburg uprising.
