Archiepiscopal Palace
The Archiepiscopal Palace in Trnava is an impressive historic residence that once served as the seat of the Archbishops of Esztergom. Basilica of St. Nicholas
The Basilica of St. Nicholas is one of the oldest and most important sacred monuments in Trnava. Built in the first half of the 14th century as a Gothic church, it still preserves the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Its interior is adorned with precious altars and ribbed vaults, reflecting the artistic spirit of the past. The basilica is also closely connected with the veneration of the Virgin Mary of Trnava – the city’s protector, whose miraculous image attracts pilgrims from all over Slovakia.
