Little Danube Rafting Trip

Rafting of Little Danube is surely an unforgettable experience of spending free time. It is suitable for beginners, friends and families, but also for corporate events as a form of supplement for the teambuilding, and various workshops, seminars.

The most beautiful and interesting sections are from the village of Zálesie to the mill in Tomášikov. We organize Danube rafting from a half-day to a 2-day trip. During the river rafting, it is possible to stop or camp directly at the unique wooden water mills in Jelka and Tomášikov.

Program - 1 day

Possible routes:

• Bratislava (Vrakuňa) - Tomasov, 4-5 hour
• Tomasov - Watermill Jelka, 5-6 hour - recommended

Recommended equipment: sports clothes, spare shoes, cap (or something for head covering), sunscreen, glasses, a sufficient amount of non-alcoholic fluids, spray against mosquitoes. In case of bad weather, we recommend a thin long sleeved shirt, trousers and a raincoat (poncho). Rafting trips are organized in the summer months (May to September), so we only consider the summer rains.

The kit includes a boat (by appointment), paddle and life jacket. Rafting is organized on fiberglass canoe for 2-3 persons.

Accommodation: Camping in tent by water in public encampments. Campsite is equipped with snack bars and restrooms. It is necessary to bring your own camping equipment (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, camp sitting, catering) Using of campsite is charged.

Little Danube forms the largest river island in Europe. Its surroundings consist mostly of meadows and fields that are separated from the river with several tens of meters wide floodplain forest. The level of the river almost does not fluctuate and therefore the Little Danube is spared from major flooding.
