TANAP Museum

It informs the visitors about the character of the Tatra nature, about its protection and about the history of the Tatras being made accessible to the public. It belongs among the most visited museums of its kind in Slovakia – nearly 50 000 visitors every year.

The exhibition part of the museum is separated to natural historical, natural protection, historical and ethnographical section.

In operation during the whole year:

September - May:

• Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.  – 12:00 a.m.    1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.

June - August:

• Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.       1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Saturday, Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Sell of information and reminder materials:

postcards, maps, books, videotapes, products of natural materials – wood-carvings, leather charms, jewellery from horns, shepherd whistles...

Screening of films in a hall with capacity of 64 places for sitting.
