Kremnica Mountains (Kremnické vrchy), zOO & Botanical Gardens

Arboretum Borova Hora (Pine Mountain) is situated about 3 km north of the centre of town Zvolen. It is located on the south-western spurs of Zvolen Upland. It was established in 1965 when it have been started planting. First fenced area had an area of 28.38 hectares. This was gradually expanded and today it is 47.84 hectares. The area includes experimental spaces with a total area of 8.97 hectares, which were founded in addressing research tasks in the school forest company of Technical University in Zvolen.
