The Museum of the Battle of Vavrišov was opened in October 2010. It was built to commemorate the battle that took place on the territory of the village in August 1709 as part of the Estates Rebellions of Francis II. The Renaissance manor house, which stands under the castle hill, was built in 1670. Until 1945, it was owned by the Zichy family. After the war, the Forest Administration and JRD were based here.
