Autocamp Stará hora is located in a beautiful natural environment, right on the banks of the Orava dam, near Námestovo. From the camp there is a nice view of Babia hora, which is the highest peak of the Orava Beskydy.
In the camp you can stay in tents and caravans, but also in double, up to eight 8-bed cottages, which have a toilet with shower, kitchenette with kitchen utensils, refrigerator, stove and lounge.
In front of each cottage is a fireplace, parking space, access road to the camp. The cottages are close to the beach at a distance of 20 to 50 m from the water.
The Orava Reservoir is one of the well-known and popular tourist destinations. In summer, tourists are most looking for its southern and western part, because here on its shores there is a recreational area with a port, with the possibility of fishing, swimming and water sports, such as. yachting, water cycling, boating, windsurfing, jet skiing ...
During the summer, sightseeing cruises on the Orava cruise ship combined with a tour of the Slanice Island of Art are very popular.
