Golf Resort Black Stork was founded in 1999 and it ties up the old tradition dated in 1906 and 1908 when the first 9-holes golf course in Hungary was finished in Tatranska Lomnica, High Tatras. Slovakia was known as Upper Hungary, part of Austro-Hungarian Empire that time. The18-holes modern course will be available in the beginning of July 2006. Aditional 9 holes are under the construction, so at the end of the zdar 2007 the visitors can play 27 professional holes with full service as the golf game requires.
The Black Stork golf area in Veľká Lomnica continues the tradition of the first nine-hole golf playground to be built not only in Slovakia, but also in former Ugria, which was opened on the 29th July 1906 in Tatranská Lomnica. The Black Stork golf area offers nice surroundings for relax as well as sport possibilities. Those, who are interested in playing
golf, can at present play it on the natural 9-hole playground, the new professional 9-hole playground, indoor driving range and they can use premises of the exclusive clubhouse with the hotel International and restaurant, golf shop, outdoor pool, indoor pool with countercurrent flow, steam and dry sauna, fitness centre, indoor bar, artificial putting green
and a Full Swing golf simulator. The driving range situated here, is the largest of its kind in Slovakia. With its length of 350 m, it will satisfy also the most demanding golf-players. The playground is going to be extended with another two professional 9-hole playgrounds in the next year. There is a possibility of organization of sport as well as social events, company presentations, sponsorship tournaments and a variety of other activities in the golf area. The
