Vavrišovo, observation towers

The Museum of the Battle of Vavrišov was opened in October 2010. It was built to commemorate the battle that took place on the territory of the village in August 1709 as part of the Estates Rebellions of Francis II. Rákociho.  The museum building is complemented by a lookout tower with a unique view of the Bela River, the ridge of the Western Tatras and the majestic Krivan. The building represents the traditional folk architecture of Liptov with the use of natural materials - wood and stone.
