Pohoda is an art festival, which takes place in the second weekend of July in Trencin, at the airport. An alternative, indie, electronics, world music and punk meet with classic; along with literature, dance, visual arts, film and theater. The campus of the festival is a former military airport in the valley of the river Váh, surrounded by three mountains of the Western Carpathians. Generously designed space provides a capacity for 30,000 visitors. Pohoda was founded by Michal Kaščák and Mário Michna in 1997. In 1999, Pohoda became a two-day festival.
