Rajecka Valley lies in the north-western part of Slovakia to the south of the city of Zilina along the river Rajcianka, between the Little Fatra mountain range and Strazov Hills. Besides about 20 other municipalities the area includes the well-known spa town Rajecke Teplice sought by many visitors. The valley is attractive both for sporty tourists as well as for those who prefer passive recreation. The diverse nature and rock massifs of the valley provide an opportunity for hiking during which you can visit the surrounding castle ruins or mansion situated in this site. Rest and relaxation are offered by thermal baths in Rajec where you will also find a golf course, and the mentioned Rajecke Teplice. The snow sports enthusiasts can enjoy skiing in the resorts in the village Cicmany or in Fackov saddle.
