It is located 18 km northeast of the town Liptovsky Mikulas and belongs to the region of Liptov. The river Bela meeting Rackov stream at the village flows along the outskirt of Pribylina.
The most attractive landmark for tourists, the Museum of Liptov Village is a complex of houses and buildings with traditional elements of folk culture. Museum offers a picture of medieval settlements with town prerogatives. During the summer season there are held various events that will help you learn about life in Liptov region in the past. Other cultural monuments in Pribilina include the Saint Catherine's Neo-Baroque Church and Evangelic Neo-Romanesque Church.
Those who are attracted by the mountains can happily head to the Western Tatras from Pribylina. Among the most interesting tourist destinations we may include the valleys, as Rackova Valley or Jamnicka Valley. In the vicinity there are possibilities to overcome the peaks of Tatras. The hills of Baranec and Bystra can be found to the north of the village, but you can head to the peak of Krivan belonging to the unit of the High Tatras. Along the way you go through mountain resort Podbanske where you can ski in winter and throughout the year you can visit the largest hotel wellness centre in Slovakia. If you like adrenaline and water sports, river Bela offers the possibility of rafting. Starting point is by Kokavsky Bridge and you can raft nearly to Liptovsky Hradok, 9 km from Pribylina.
