Pocuvadlo lying in the environment of Stiavnica Mountains is a popular summer and partly winter resort for hikers, children's camps and a place of cultural events. It is among the most visited tourist sites in the area around the historic town of Banska Stiavnica. The lake of Pocuvadlo with an area of 12 hectares is an excellent place for summer holiday by the water where you can swim or boat. Wooden park ideal for romantic walks creates its surroundings. Used for swimming and other water sports nearby smaller lakes are located in the village of Stiavnicke Bane right near the town of Banska Stiavnica.
In addition to goinf for water sports the resort is a good starting point for hikes in the woods of Stiavnica Hills. Their highest peak Sitno towering above Pocuvadlo is among the most sought after tourist destinations in the mountains. On its top a nice broad view of surrounding countryside can be seen from a tower during the summer season. Hiking trails will lead you to the nearby town of Banska Stiavnica where you can see historical monuments and can take a sightseeing tour of the New Castle or Old Castle. You can go on a nice trip with a visit of a manor house from Pocuvadlo to the village of Svaty Anton along trails leading through forest and meadows too.
