Slavín in Bratislava is a memorial monument and cemetery for Soviet Army soldiers who fell during World War II while liberating the city of Bratislava in April 1945 from Nazi German troops. It is situated on a hill surrounding with rich garden suburbs and embassy residencies close to the center of Bratislava.

Michael's Gate is the only preserved gate of the original four in the Bratislava city fortification, today a monument in the Old Town. The tower was built at the end of the 14th century.
