The town of Liptovský Mikulas lies in the northern part of Slovakia, in the middle of Liptovska hollow basin. Liptovský Mikuláš is the tourist centre of middle Liptov and the starting point to tourist and ski resorts in the Low Tatras, Western Tatras and in Choc hills.
