Hrabovo Valley

Hrabovo Valley (Hrabovská dolina) is a popular place for recreation and relaxation for both the citizens of the town of Ruzomberok, as well as for visitors from all over Slovakia, for which there is provided the possibility of accommodation. This recreational resort is an urban quarter and is located in one valley of the Great Fatra Mountains, just a few minutes from the city centre. In the winter season the modern Ski Park Ruzomberok - Malino Brdo belonging to the most popular winter resorts not only in the region of Liptov but also in Slovakia attracts the visitors. The resort has 8-seater and 4-seater chairlift and of course artificial snowy slope. The offer of summer activities in the resort is very large. In the recent past was built trail for mountain biking, where you can enjoy a ride on scooters as well.

Accommodation capacity has also been expanded through the construction of new apartment houses Hrabovo on the bank of the lake near the station of the cable car.

We certainly do not name all the opportunities of activities available to you in resort, but the most interesting attractions include 300 metre-long Rope park Tarzania located behind the apartments which is suitable mainly for children, but adults will enjoy it too. Furthermore, you can try jumping shoes, skipper, jogging, archery, paintball, canoeing or rock climbing. And yet we have not mentioned fishing, swimming in a lake or other water attractions. All of this can be found in Hrabovo valley, near all apartments and cottages. There you can easily rent a bike and nobody will hold you back from going on bike tour to interesting mountain surroundings of the valley.

Nature walks in the valley will get you from everyday problems and stresses of the busy city life. You can go in any direction, since the tangle of hiking trails in the Great Fatra is dense. The trail will lead you even to 2 km distant Ruzomberok, and there you can enjoy a sightseeing. It pays to go hiking in the nearby village Vlkolínec - historic reserve registered by UNESCO, where you can admire the historic wooden houses and folk architecture.

Accommodation in Hrabovo Valley in addition to the mentioned apartments is provided by a number of cottages, a few guesthouses and there is a hotel. You can also stay in a hotel in the town of Ruzomberok.
