Želiezovce, ruins of castles and forts

The château was built in the second half of the 13th century originally as the château of Tekov Borough. It was rebuilt several times. After 1542 if was changed into army anti-Turkish fortress. Breznica Castle ruins are located on the Hill Hrádok, southeast of the village Tekovská Breznica. It is bounded with Chválenska valley from the north and Priesilska Valley from the south. Location allowed viewing of the historic "Slovak Gate" the Abbey in Hronský Beňadik and on the 7 km distant Nová Baňa.

Čabraď is a ruin of castle located near the village Čabradský Vrbovok, in the middle of the Krupina Highlands on a hill above the valley Litava. Originally, this castle was called Litava. Celemantia was a Roman castellum and settlement on the territory of the present-day municipality Iža, 4 km to the east of Komárno. It is the biggest known Roman castellum in present-day Slovakia. It was a part of the Roman Limes, the frontier-zone of the Empire.
