Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin on Marianska hora in Levoca is one of the oldest places of pilgrimage in eastern Slovakia. The pilgrimage takes place here every year on July 2. The chapel was an expression of gratitude of Spis residents for their rescue during the Tartar invasion in the years 1241 - 1242. Baroque Church of the Holy Ghost and Monastery Minorits
The church and monastery buildings complex in Levoča was built between 1748 -1755 on the site of the oldest Levoča church, which was demolished in 1747 after a fire. It is one of the few preserved Baroque churches in Spiš region. Set of monastic buildings has a U-shaped footprint. The church has one nave; in the backside there is a brick Emporia with an organ. The facade of the church features a mural with symbols of Faith, Hope and Love.
