Golf & Country Club Piešťany
After 90 years the spa has returned back to tradition of playing golf in Piešťany, where, in 1914 the first golf playground in Slovakia was opened. In the 30s, international tournaments with players from England, Germany, Scandinavia and the USA were held here. HLOHOVEC CASTLE
Hlohovec Castle is the most important historical monument of the town Hlohovec. It is located south of Hlohovec, on the edge of a large tree park with french terraces. The original medieval castle was built in the 11th century. In 1275 King Ladislav IV. donated the castle to the first feudal owner of the Abovcov family. Since then, with little breaks, it belonged with the surrounding lands until 1945 to a powerful feudal family. BECKOV CASTLE
The Beckov castle was built in the 12th century as a part of border fortification of Hungarian Empire. The castle flourished in the 14 - 15th century, later became shabby. The historical and archaeological research was carried out in the 70s of the 20th century. After the reconstruction in 1996 the ruins of the castle were strengthened and open for the public. TEMATÍN CASTLE
Tematín Castle is a castle ruin in western Slovakia. The castle was originally built in the second half of the 13th century. It was fundamentally reconstructed by the Thurzo family, owners of the castle from 1524. The last owner was Miklós Bercsényi, general of the anti-Habsburg insurrection army. The castle was turned into ruins after it was sieged in 1710 as a part of the suppression of the anti-Habsburg uprising.
