Kostolecká Gorge is located near the town of Považská Bystrica in the Súľov Mountains near the northern edge of the Strážovské Hills. The lookout tower on the Špicák hill near Strečno stands at an altitude of 620 m above sea level. It was built in the fall of 2017.
