School in nature TURZOV

The Turzov school in nature is a facility focused on the recreation and teaching of children and youth in a healthy natural environment. It is located in Rudohoria valley, 4 km from the historic town of Gelnica, with museum or ruins of the Gelnica castle. School buildings are surrounded by forests and meadows full of medicinal plants.

The school in nature offers accommodation in three masonry buildings. Total accommodation capacity is up to 100 persons. There are mostly 4-beded rooms. Most of the rooms have own washbasin. Shared bathrooms are equipped with showers, are separated for boys and girls. Buildings are equipped with classrooms. Each building has its own meeting room.

A dining room for 130 people, there is also a common room with a piano, a TV, a video, and a library. 

A football, a volleyball and children's playground with swings, covered arbors and a fireplace and a table tennis is available.

The main activity is to organizing schools in nature for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, ski training, school trips, sport events, weekend stays for parents with children, meetings, celebration, New Year's Eve and Easter stays
