Lying in the Levocske Mountains, Ski resort Levoca is located about 6 km north of the town of Levoca. It is situated in a recreation area Levocska Valley which is at the same time the administrative unit of the city. Ski Levoča Závada
Ski Resort near the village Závada in the district Levoča in Eastern Slovakia is situated at an altitude of 850 metres AMSL. In the ski resort there are 2 lifts, with total capacity of 1126 persons per hour. Season lasts from January to February. Total trail length is 4.8 km, elevation is 137 meters. The resort is suitable for beginners but also for advanced skiers, as well as for families with children as it is on site is a children's lift.
Baroque Church of the Holy Ghost and Monastery Minorits
The church and monastery buildings complex in Levoča was built between 1748 -1755 on the site of the oldest Levoča church, which was demolished in 1747 after a fire. It is one of the few preserved Baroque churches in Spiš region. Set of monastic buildings has a U-shaped footprint. The church has one nave; in the backside there is a brick Emporia with an organ. The facade of the church features a mural with symbols of Faith, Hope and Love.
Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin on Marianska hora in Levoca is one of the oldest places of pilgrimage in eastern Slovakia. The pilgrimage takes place here every year on July 2. The chapel was an expression of gratitude of Spis residents for their rescue during the Tartar invasion in the years 1241 - 1242. Church of St. James in Levoča, originally in gothic style, is the second largest church in Slovakia, national monument and a building of a particular art-historical significance.
